Maui has been my home for over 26 years. My mom was born on Maui. My grandmother was born and raised on Maui. She was one of the oldest daughters of 19 children of Japanese immigrants. My great grandfather was a farmer and land owner in Kula. He as known as the Cabbage King of Kula. The Okamoto house still stands to this day in Upcountry Maui.

I awoke to the news of the fires happening in my home Maui. It was so heartbreaking 💔 Right before my first training dive on the competition line today, I was getting word that clients and friends had lost homes and businesses. I came to Roatán to represent USA. Now I dive for my home Maui even more. Stay Strong Maui.
